Belajar bahasa inggris gratis Ala Tarzan bukan berarti pengalaman saya belajar dengan hewan-hewan atau pemain filem Tarzan ya. Tarzan adalah famili saya sekaligus seorang teman yang sangat menginspirasi saya ketika dulu masih duduk di bangku SMA dalam belajar bahasa inggris ini. Walau jarang kontak, bahkan mungkin Tarzan tak ingat lagi siapa saya, saya tetap berterimakasih yang tak terhingga padanya, dan mendoakan Tarzan untuk semakin sukses. Saya dengar dari family di Jakarta bahwa Tarzan sekarang tetap sangat sukses dalam kariernya di Jakarta.

Cara Tarzan mengajari saya bahasa inggris dulu adalah dengan memfokuskan pada bahasa inggris yang langsung bisa dipraktekkan kapan saja, dimana saja, tanpa batas, mulai dari yang paling dasar, kejar-kejaran terus-menerus. Bahasa inggris yang paling dasar menurutnya bukan berarti mempelajari tata bahasa inggris, bukan juga dengan melihat gambar-gambar, bukan juga mulai dari membaca buku.

Mulai dari dasar maksudnya ketika kita mulai belajar maka yang paling dekat atau yang pertama terpikirkan, perlu kita coba bahasa inggrisnya. Jika belum bisa maka dicampur saja dengan bahasa Indonesia. Mencobanya sedapat mungkin diucapkan, baik dengan teman praktek belajar bahasa inggris atau diucapkan sendiri. Jika tidak memungkinkan untuk mengucapkannya (misalnya agar tak dianggap ngomong sendiri) maka diucapkan di dalam hati saja, atau dengan memikirkannya.

Contoh:
“Saya ingin belajar bahasa inggris”. Nah ini bagaimana bahasa inggrisnya? Kalau sudah bisa, katakan “I want to study english” ucapkan beneran kalau mungkin, atau katakan dalam hati saja. Jika belum bisa secara lengkap mengatakannya dalam satu kalimat, kita ucapkan saja kata-kata yang sudah bisa, misalnya “I ingin belajar bahasa english”, atau mungkin “I ingin study english”. Kalau sudah bisa sedikit saja, jangan pernah lagi katakan “saya ingin belajar bahasa inggris”, katakan seperti yg diatas tadi, lengkap atau campuran.

Kalau belum lengkap, coba cari kamus, nah “coba cari kamus” ini bahasa inggrisnya apa? Oh ya “ini bahasa inggrisnya apa” juga perlu dicari apa bahasa inggrisnya. Mungkin “what in english” (yang benar what is this in english). ulang lagi “try cari kamus”. Lengkapnya: “I ingin study english, try cari kamus, what in english…”

Jadi kejar terus, apapun yang ingin anda ucapkan cobalah bahasa inggris, baik sepotong-sepotong (campuran bahasa indonesia) atau lengkap, jangan perdulikan salah atau benar. Apapun yang ingin anda ucapkan cobalah pakai bahasa inggris = what pun you want say try english, tuh sudah bisa. “tuh sudah bisa” apa bahasa inggrisnya? yes, you can!

Wah ini cara belajar bahasa inggris baru bagi saya, wow this is a new way for me to learn english. Kalau begini, mau tak mau saya harus beli kamus nih. What in english? If like this, must buy kamus. What kamus in english? Oke lah besok saya beli kamus, ok tomorrow i beli kamus. Where beli kamus? I no money. Oh ternyata study english perlu money. I try cari money.

Misal besok sudah punya uang, jadi dong beli kamus. Ceritanya nih sudah punya kamus.

Oh ternyata kamus is dictionary. Beli is buy. Jadi yang kemarin bisa diganti menjadi “ok tomorrow i buy dictionary”. The fact study english needs money. I try look money. Ulang lagi, repeat. Tuh sudah lancar, yes I can! haha..

Ya benar, bahasa inggris di atas sudah bagus sekali, sekaligus juga masih jelek sekali. Tidak mengapa, yang penting terus mencoba tanpa henti, apa yg sudah bisa langsung praktekkan baik dengan kata-kata atau dalam pikiran. Kejar terus. Siapa yang akan menganggap anda gila jika belajar bahasa inggris di dalam otak?

Wow, this is truly the fastest way for me to master english language. I have never heard someone telling me this kind of learning system. Begitu pula dengan menterjemahkan apa yang anda baca. Terjemahkan saja apa yang anda sudah bisa, tak perlu terjemahkan utuh, namun kejar sampai bisa terjemahkan secara utuh, dengan kamus anda, dengan bertanya pada orang yang bisa, dengan cara sering mengulanginya. “Wow ini truly paling cepat cara untuk saya untuk master english, I punya pernah mendengar seseorang menceritakan saya ini jenis belajar sistem” hehe.. Yang benar = Wow ini benar-benar cara yang paling cepat untuk saya menguasai bahasa inggris. Saya belum pernah dengar seseorang mengatakan cara belajar seperti ini.

Mari kita langjutkan. What is this in english? Lets continue. Benar, that is correct.

Jadi cara cepatnya adalah dengan memulai dari kata pertama yang kita ucapkan. So fast way is with begin from first word we want to say. Salah biarin. What is salah biarin? Wrong no problem. Besok coba lagi, tomorrow try again. Ternyata cepat ya belajarnya, Ternyata fast study-nya ya. But like crazy people (tetapi seperti orang gila) haha..

Tentu saja anda tetap harus belajar tata bahasa inggris yang benar, rajin bercakap-cakap untuk praktek, atau mulai dengan membaca buku-buku sederhana, mendengarkan siaran berita bahasa inggris dan sebagainya. Inti dari apa yang dikatakan Tarzan adalah kita harus praktek, seberapa buruknya pun bahasa inggris saat ini. Tak punya teman praktek bahasa inggris bukan kendala, karena kita bisa praktek sendirian, mungkin dengan mengucapkannya sendiri, atau menuliskannya atau dengan memikirkannya di dalam otak, belajar dalam otak, tanpa henti.

Wah sekarang saya sudah capek. Apa bahasa inggrisnya? Misalkan saat ini yang kita tau bahasa inggrisnya hanya sekarang dan saya maka katakannya “Wah now i sudah capek”. Kemudian berusahalah untuk menemukan kata sudah dan capek, ketika sudah ketemu ulangilah mengucapkannya dengan lengkap, ulangi beberapa kali sampai anda bisa mengucapkannya secara lengkap dan cepat. Mau lupa besok tak masalah yang penting hari ini anda pandai mengatakan dengan lengkap dan cepat “Wow, I am tired now”.

I want to take a break now. Tomorrow I will try to practice learning english using this new system. I am very sure that I will master english language in just two months.

    Try asking your friends, actually most of us want to practice our english, some time malu-malu, no need la malu-malu ya. If you cant find partner then try learning english alone by thinking of anything in english.

    Wow, it’s a uniqe and fun way to learn english. My problem is I don’t have self confidence, especially when we talk to forigner or other indonesia people who have english as their mother language. But the the problem is, in my profesi i have to have skill in writing, which mine is very poor alias nothing. I have forgotten all the grammar structure. Do you have any suggustion how to improve grammer ?

    Again I write this reply with my limited knowledge of grammar.

    Having self confidence or not is just the same Angel. It takes exactly the same time and energy, and of course costs free. Why not be in full confidence instead?

    If your job involves prefessional writings, usually you must write in good grammar. Try writing like Tarzan then. Buy english grammar book as well. I am sure you will write better english each day. I dont have good grammar as well, And I will progress each day too. Good luck Angel.

    so.. sekalian sama2 learnin’. actually my vocab is very limited. it’s make me feel “minder”

    Wah, bener banget tuh!!! AKu udah hampir sebulan belajar bahasa inggris di Pare (Kediri). Sejak minggu pertama tinggal di asrama, aku udah mulai latihan kayak gitu. Awalnya sih malu, minder sama yang udah pada jago. Tapi kebetulan ada temen anak baru juga yang PD aja ngomong kayak orang bule walau cuma bisa bikin kalimat simpel (kayak: Oh My God, gitu aja). Tapi terus aku pikir, ngapain malu. Dia aja nggak malu.

    Hari kedua aku udah mulai bisa ngomong panjang lebar, walau masih tersendat-sendat.

    Sekarang, aku udah bisa discuss & debate, walau aku sadar aku masih belum jago bener. Tapi aku terus ngejar tuh English. Nggak pernah puas.

    Caranya emang begitu, kita biasain setiap menemukan kosakata baru, kita rangkai dalam kalimat, kemudian kita hafal. Intinya mengekspresikan dalam kalimat. Atau ketika nonton movie/film, kita perhatiin dialognya. Kalo bisa kita tiruin cara mereka ngomong.

    English is matter of habit.

    Percaya deh!!!

    i think that’s good idea, b’cause in study foreign language we have to practise everyday, every time, every second (every.. apa lagi ya) without shy. I’m not so good in english, but now i always try to speak in english in all situation to increase my vocabulary and conversations, thx (kayanya banyak ejaan yang salah deh, maaf aja ya)

    Wow, Mr. Tarzan is the dean of computer science faculty at one of the best university in Jakarta. It’s great to see that he has inspired many people. FYI, he often mixes Bahasa and English in daily conversation.. :)

    it’s a unique way in learning english. thanks for sharing,,,i heard most people suggests and gives steps to be master english, first is listening (by radio, film, music), it doesn’t need to know what it means. we just listen and reach how the words expressed by native. then, we have to try to speak by following what they said. second, after that it will be good point if we write the words said before. finnaly, we can go to learn structure well. these methods are very well and have to do respectively,,
